I have trawled the internet and indeed these forums to try and find a solution, but there is nothing that has worked. It is unbearable, completely impossible to use. I have spent the last two days trying to get rid of the lag I have with the mouse. I have recently purchased a Wireless Apple Mouse (not the current Mighty Mouse model, but the original no scroll-wheel one) off a seller on eBay who shipped it to me, and is adament the item is in full working order. But, since I've seen several others here mentioning this problem, it seems to me that it's some kind of hardware or software problem - especially since the Bluetooth connection is made and is functioning with the mouse clicks (always without fail). It's never been any longer than about five minutes for me to get it to fully working again. Well., it's irritating, but I can usually get it to working in about three to five minutes by taking the battery in and out and/or flipping that switch back and forth. If all else fails, I recommend a double Scotch. It always works (although it's the only bluetooth connected at the time). However, I do use another Bluetooth device (but not at the same time). Now, I'll be (usually) in public places when I do use the mouse (like Starbucks or McDonalds), so that might be difficult to isolate any others that are using Bluetooth. Airport,Ĭordless phones, etc., can interfere. It's always that way without any variation (if there is any kind of problem at all). However, it's only the tracking (and not the 'clicking') that is not working. So, I'm getting a Bluetooth connection always. Now, mind you the 'clicking' always works okay. I still encounter this kind of 'tracking' problem. And I've tried the new ones before, to see if that was the problem. Well, I do carry a set of brand new ones, so that I'll be ready to replace them. Try cleaning the contacts in the mouse,Īnd the top and bottom of the batteries with alcohol,Īcetone (carefully), or the like. So, that way I figure I keep the battery in good shape.Įven brand new ones sometimes don't work, or don't I don't use the mouse but every few days (or so), and maybe for up to a week or so. What I do - though - is take out one battery when I'm not using it. I've thought of using those, but I don't.
